ISO standard introduction

ISO, or International Organization for Standardization, is the world's largest standards developer and distributor, with membership from over 160 countries. ISO develops standards that are important for global development based on requests from stakeholders (UN and its subsidiary organizations, WHO, WTO, IEC, etc.). The organization was founded in Switzerland in 1947.
